Fixed Price Servicing for over 3 year olds

Just had this come to me by email from Harwoods in Croydon, my supplying dealer.

Not sure it is of any interest to people but I guess most main dealers will offer this.
I'm now only using independents as I prefer the level of service but thought I'd share.

I am with you on the decision to use an Indy. My 5 year service which included plugs was quoted £780 from the JLR I had the service plan with. The plugs cost £90 and they explained that labour costs are £220 an hour. I was shown the breakdown of costs which included £5 to top up the wiper fluid. This told me all I need to know and so went to a local Indy who was half the price and also took me on the test drive.
I liked the idea of the service plan and paying monthly but when the labour costs are so high and an Indy was £80/hr - with the personal service touch it made up my mind. He updated service record online whilst I waited.
