First time Jaguar owner

Hello. Just purchased my first Jaguar and it’s a lovely FType P300 Convertible MY 2022

I’ve been busy setting everything up and have a newbie query which has given me a great excuse to find and join the forum.

I am having trouble registering an account for the InControl Remote App.
After putting in my gmail address I get the message saying that the account has been successfully created and an email has been sent to the email address to verify the account etc. However, no email arrives. I have tried multiple times; checked spam; tried on phone, iPad and pc; all with no luck.
However when I use an old talk21 email address it works fine. But once the account is set up there doesn’t then seem to be a way to change the email address to my current gmail.
All feels a bit strange.
Was wondering if anyone else had come across this issue. Any pointers would be very welcome and received with thanks.

I'll be in the same boat as you - a first time Jag owner - next week when I collect my MY19 P340 R-Dynamic.

Everyone on here has been really helpful so far so I'm sure someone will be able to give you a decent answer to the above.

Keep in touch and we can learn along the way as newbies!
 
Do you have a subscription for In Control Remote?
I purchased one along with the Secure Tracker. As yours is a newer car you may have already have it.

Thanks very much. Yes I do have the reminder of the initial in control subscription. I’ve decided just to live with the issue so far.
 
Thanks all for taking the time to reply and sort it has taken me so long to come back.
Car is going very well.
O it issue so far is the hardness of our water which is proving problematic for water spots if leaving to dry ‘touch free’.
I’ve purchased a DI Resin filter which should arrive in ten next day or so so hopefully this will improve things. I’ll keep you posted.
