F type r gear display

Need input. I have a new f type r convertible. Under hard acceleration I have noticed the gear indicator on dash display to momentarily switch from a white number on black cackground to a black number on a white background. My dealer said they had never heard of it. Is it an upshift warning as in nearing red line or is it an indicator of hitting rhe limiter. Anyone know?

It's just an indicator to shift up as your approaching the limiter.<br /><br />

But I managed to reproduce the phenomena, so understand what was going on. In fact the car will upshift on it owne when it reches the limited rpm... I wonder what would happen if you were in 8th gear 😁.

Probably be at 30,000 feet by then. Nice to know I didn't hit the limiter with new car. Spoke to a jag mechanic who told me as long as you're not stupid about it you can be a bit liberal with break in process and the odd "mistake" won't hurt......
