Just watching the new series of Grand Tour and they are using an ultra blue 2.0 as the new star car with a brand new track. Sounds pretty good to me!

Just watched it, looked good.
Not sure I'd put mine through the gravel rally section though!

That made me wince a bit too!
Funny how they were leaving it in auto and not using the paddles.
On a track I would have thought it far better to use the manual shifting.

can you watch the grand tour on youtube

Maybe someone might upload it in a week or two but Amazon will probably get it pulled pretty quickly.
Seeing as you can afford an F-Type R and the 2 litre F-Pace with your private plate then why not just sign up to Amazon prime?
£79 for a year and a one-off £39 for the firestick.
With all your money it won't break the bank.
8-)

nice to see an f on tv, though given the other recent thread, i'm thinking that's a new license plate to keep an eye out for in a jag dealer near you shortly :p

Did like the realistic coverage of the bits of the roadtrip you dont usually publicise though :)

I think the muppets that will be driving it are just glad to get round in one piece, never mind using the paddles.
Looks like Jaguar have given them a base car to play with, if its not been wrapped the paintwork will be shot after the first practice run!
Nice to see an F Type on the show though & I think £79/year is a bargain for everything you get with Prime!

I am surprised that any manufacturer gives them anything to play with knowing there well earned reputation. The very thought makes me cringe! 😟
Steve.

Really - This programme will have a streaming audience of several 10's millions globally and likley repeated for the next decade. All that for a £60k car. That's liquid gold PR and advertising

Separately watched it and thought it was nice to see 'our' car on track, bt doesn't sound very exciting

That is true, I just don’t like to see nice cars unnecessarily treated this way. Plus the fact they are sold on after to some unserspecting person.
Steve.

I'm prety sure that in one showing of Top Gear someone said the 'Reasonably Priced Cars' went to the crusher rather than be sold on.

That's correct on TG. They crushed them for safety reasons. Can't say the same about GT, but at iirc £1-£4m/episode I doubt they will nor Jaguar would care about scrapping an F type
