ECO button question

Folks, need some help please.
Having now cleaned up the gunky mess on the buttons, replaced the paddles, replaced the P button on gear selector, replaced start stop I am moving onto more technical things ....

When I start my 2013 V8S the ECO button illuminates for a few seconds then goes off and I am unable to get any response when I push the ECO button. The car has never stopped without me telling it to (yay) so I am not complaining so much rather want to understand. Both the ECO button and spoiler button lack a reassuring click like the exhaust button so am wondering whether it is just a button thing?

Car cranks very quickly, easily starts, so doubt it is related to battery voltage.
Is it a known issue?

Next job is to retrim the steering wheel to a perforated leather rather than the current shiny slippy smooth leather.

i need to replace the start stop button on mine, is it an easy job? and where did you get the part from?

Start stop is a 30sec doddle swop, I used a tooth pick to gently lift up the current one.
Bought mine from Britcar ref T2R42909.

Check which button you have as they come in plain black, black with silver outer ring and the older style bronze
I changed all the buttons on mine from bronze to the silver / black a few years ago and they look so much better.

One member on here posted that the Land Rover version LR094038 works perfectly and I have found that general they are much cheaper than the JLR versions
A quick search shows LR about £13 cheaper
