Doors remain locked after engine is off

Hello , I.was wondering if anyone has come across this issue. My f type 3.0l 2014 52k miles started doing something unusual.
Everytime after a drive , when the engine is off and car is parked, both doors remain locked. The door handles outside are not released. This means that I have either to press the unlock button on the door or the unlock from fob to exit vehicle.
Could it be the battery? Is there a way to reset the locking system ? Do I need to disconnect the battery ? Any help or idea would be appreciated thank you

Why would the doors unlock when you turn the engine off? I just pull the door handle to open the door and get out. Are you saying your car used to unlock automatically on switch-off?

so you mean when you stop the car you can't open the door with the handle from the inside right? you have to manually press the door unlock before the door handle works?
