Well I've finally gone and done it,

I will cease to be the slave to this thing of beauty by next Thursday.

It's going to be a tough week but au revoir my love........

Thanks to SimpleR who helped me with the vehicle details all those years ago.....its been a blast...literally

Have you sold it ? as I have a friend is looking for a SVR.

Its going as P/X for a Range Rover Sport SVR at a main stealer. I am reluctant to stall/delay the deal to see if your friend was interested now TBH having goner through the denial phase..

But I can tell you the original plate is OV17 KVK - which will go back on as i am retaining my plate.

So if your friend see's it at a dealer I can vouch it's immaculate with only 11600 miles and full service history (some at indies) - if he wants to know more if he see's it i can tell him everything about the car worth knowing/warranty work completed back in the day etc.

I'm going through the acceptance phase ATM but will I am sure get over it given time.

As for the reasons.......

in list form although a story behind each

1. Three cars sat on the drive not doing many miles - which seems a sin - the other 2 - one my wife's and my Audi RS4 Avant which I sold last year
2. Wifey would/could not get in the Jag now due to health reasons/mobility so it was just me and the mistress (the car!!) going out alone.
3. Lost the practicality of the RS4 so wanted to get something that had both the smile factor and some practicality.
4. Had it 7 years now and haven't regretted it a jot but that's 4 years longer than I have owned any other car and somebody else hopefully will get the biggest smile they will ever have on the road with it.

I am going to miss it for sure and whilst I'm lucky enough to be able to own such a car I doubt I will have another quite like this one - i'm not sure how you top it TBH - I've said many times it's probably the best looking car ever made IMHO.

Looks like a lovely spec and well looked after so someone is going to surely enjoy this car in future if you go ahead.Sure the RR SVR will be a different driving experience but surely it will still raise a smile when you push it!
It sounds like you will miss the F-Type but you always have the memories!

I'm going to miss it big time - just been out for a spirited drive and gone back into denial phase (didn't think it worked that way!!) :|

If anyone is after an F-Type and can push it to the SVR then do it - you won't regret it. I had a rear wheel only 5 litre F-Type before this one and this one surpassed all my expectations.

I'm sure they will appreciate in years to come and I hope they do become a classic - I won't be disappointed at all as I can say I had one of them for nigh on 7 years.

Yes I am looking forward to the RR SVR so that will help i'm sure.

Well here I am sat in Starbucks just outside the stealers. Personal Plate just taken off for retention, an hour or so and that's it..........Had a great last drive to the dealers - well starbucks just outside.....regrets.....I've had a few.......

You‘ve had the good fortune to experience and enjoy the car - likely with a smile at every drive.

There’s always a next chapter and other driving experiences to discover, believe me.

Your only regret today should be going into a Starbucks!

We have a RRS, not the SVR but the hybrid.
If I could only have one car it would the RRS, superb it is and has been. Hasn't caused us a moment of bother.

I have an F-Pace SVR and have driven a RRS SVR a reasonable amount. It’s certainly going to be a different experience but they are all great cars - enjoy!

Thanks for all the posts Guys

Well a few days in and whilst i'm missing the F-Type SVR i'm not going to deny how much I like the RR SVR - different experience but still a beast in it's own way and it's a BIG car!!!

When doing all the formalities I asked the dealer what they were going to do with my car expecting them to say it was going to auction at 8 years old. They said they thought it was that good they would put it in their hand picked range - apparently only one other with the same spec in the country - what they told me.

Well it went up today at £59,999 !! - That is probably the highest priced like for like SVR in the country ATM - I'm a little surprised as I said to them OK bet it goes up at around £56-£58K and they smiled.

One part of me is half pleased as a testament to the condition it was in. Doubt they will get that full asking price though - unless I win the lottery and i'll be back :-)

So my babies up for sale!
