Cracked gyrodyne rim - replace or reapir?

Has anyone had any experience of getting these repaired? Would a repair last or is it better just to get a replacement wheel?

Hi,

I had a crack on the inner face of one of the fronts, had it repaired by a local alloy wheel refurb company ,- end of the crack drilled, ground out and welded.
that was 2.5 years and 8K miles ago, no problems whatsoever - if it's repaired properly, should never be an issue.
