Hello, I would like to paint the cover under the windshield matt as the color is very faded.

is there anything to consider when removing it

I use Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer, seems to do a good job.
You have to do it a couple of times a year.

If you’re going to remove the Cowl Panel I’ve attached the relevant TOPIx document.

Alternatively (and also easier), if you’re going to use plastic trim restorer etc, put the wipers in the ‘Service’ position as explained here https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=7943. By doing this you can get into the areas that are otherwise difficult to access when the wipers are normally in the 'Park' position.
