Coming back to an F Type

Hi All,

I have been lurking for a while since selling my previous F Type (stupid decision!) a couple of years ago.

I badly miss it, and so want to to get another one!!!! :-)

I have seen one with the Reg LX14 TTY for sale and wondered if you super chaps on the Forum would be able to give me the spec please???

I am mainly interested to check if the update has been done to kill the pops and crackles.....I went to great lengths to make sure that update didn't happen on my old one!!

I'm only 3 weeks without my F-Type SVR and already missing it / plotting my next one albeit it may be a couple of years like yourself.

So I know exactly what you mean.
 
Good luck with your search. I promised myself I'd never buy another after spending more on repairs than all of my previous 20+ cars added up. But after 1.5 years I was back and never plan to sell my P450.
 
I have a 2014 plate R and was worrying about updates. However when I voiced my concern at my local JLR main dealer they informed me that the later upgrades were not applicable to early cars (I think they mentioned 2017 onwards for upgrades).
I still have the same softwear codes when I check in the softwear.
Pops and bangs still there.
So go and have a chat with your main dealer.

That's correct. The maximum limit for drive by noise was reduced in 2016 to 72db, for cars made from 2017, so early F-Types are excluded from the H239 campaign.

Not sure the 2017 date is correct. My car is a late 2015 registration, so MY16 and it's had V1 and V2 of H239 applied - annoyingly!
