Christmas present for the Cat!

Just thought it would be a good idea to see if anyone is treating your Cat to a Christmas present? What are you getting it?

A boot organiser, some cleaning chemicals and a little toolset is on my list.
I know I've some sponges coming down the chimney as Amazon elected to ship them without any covering packaging, just a shipping label stuck onto the clear retail packaging.
I did drop a hint to the wife about custom luggage but that seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

A luggage net for my coupe. Hate having my steering lock sliding about in the boot

if it is for a diskloc they make a holder that you can put the diskloc inside which has velcro outside to stop it sliding about.

Actually I do have one Xmas present for the car which wasn't on my santa list - parts to make a remote control for disconnecting fuse 15 arrived today so I can use my phone to choose which drives the car roars and which ones I am considerate of my neighbours.

Hope to get time to fit it tomorrow

Would love to hear more about this!

I have just ordered the parts required to make a “Claws Out” mod (electronic disconnect/reconnect of fuse 15 at the press of a button on a wireless remote which will be kept in the glove box). Pulling fuse 15 on my V8R P575 makes it obnoxiously loud, which is great when I want that, but other times I want it quieter. It’s a hassle faffing under the bonnet physically pulling the fuse and putting it back in, so the “Claws Out” mod will be perfect!

AKA the “Claws Out” mod. I just posted that I’m doing exactly this and then saw that you are planning the same 😁

It’s known on the US forum as the “Claws Out” mod. I’ve spent this afternoon figuring out exactly how it is done and have just ordered the necessary components off Amazon. I will take photos step by step and will post on the forum with the Amazon links to the bits n pieces. I enjoy a bit of electronic tinkering, my other hobby is RC model aircraft.

How do you do it from your phone? I’m going to do mine with a wireless RC relay switch and keep the “key fob” button remote in the glovebox (like our fellow US F-Type enthusiasts have posted in their forum)

Yes, I also followed the US post by Jag Bass. Better for me than having the fuse out all the time.

If you post step by step then I'll just add to it if my circuit is different

We are overlapping, I'm using a unit from dieserc (amazon) instead of emylo.

There is a chance it doesn't work without wifi but indoor testing today suggests you only need that in the house when setting it up before then attaching to the car when the phone bluetooth will work. Will see tomorrow

In fact, if you are using emylo then you MIGHT be able to download a Bluetooth app for your phone to replace the remote?

Also I dropped a hint to Mrs W that I’d like a set of made to measure luggage (I shared the Amazon link!) for when we go on trips away together in the F-Type. 8-)

Search on Amazon: KJUST-compatible-JAGUAR-F-TYPE

OK. I’ll probably get mine done over the coming bank holidays when I get a spare bit of time.
I’m using one of these, keeping it simple:

Please give an update on how yours works, looks like you’ll get yours finished before I do mine.

I purchased these to help prevent the tires from flat spotting.
