Treated myself to a pair of new carbon air vents ~ they help to keep rain water away from the engine ~ very easy to fit (5 mins) ~ and they look good.

From Rimmer Brothers ? Would you say they keep the rain out.?

Hi Mike, too early to say, but the water will now enter a couple of inches further outboard, so they should help + I have the black plastic engine cover well covered over any entry points with gorilla tape. I leave it parked outside and we’ve had so much rain, that I think it’s worth taking what simple precautions I can.

Ps Rimmer Bros were the same price as my local JLR AD ~ so I ordered from Jags ~ just 24hr delivery ~ they then quoted me £86 to fit, so I did it myself in less than 5 mins!

Hi Bob, I am changing mine on my 2015 F-Type. Parts from Rimmer Bros due in this afternoon. I am trying to get the original vents out and I have released the sides and the top nearest the windscreen, but can’t seem to release the bottom of the vent. Have you any advice?

Don't they just push through from underneath?
