Audio upgrade

I have the basic Meridian system and I'm keen to upgrade it without breaking the bank. How could I do this? Would it be simple enough to install an amplifier and better speakers and sub in the space of the existing speakers? Would I need to install a separate sub in the boot?
 
That's interesting. I find the Meridian audio system excellent in my V6 but I never had another car where the audio is hardly ever used unless I'm calling someone. Try removing fuse 15! 😊
