I've decided to service my car myself this year - it needs the diff oil, gearbox oil and engine oil changing this year, so i've found a local guy with a 4 post lift i can go and use.
I've ordered all the stuff and swotted up on the procedures etc (I've done diff oil before and oil changes on other cars), so should save quite a few quid. Cost of parts is about £350 all in.
Anyway - Oil level can be found in the menus, but to change to and from the LIVE level you need the Cruise Control Cancel button. Mine has decided not to work - i dont use it so assume it needs removing and changing for a new one.
I'm doing the work on Monday - so have stuck the OBD reader on the car and found two sets of live oil data. The car is on a level driveway and reports the oil level is OK in the menus, so is the below the OBD equivalent?
1. Engine Oil Level - Measured 0.12m
2. Engine Oil Volume - Calculated 7L
12cm of oil in the sump sounds credible - anyone else used these stats to check oil levels?
