Advertising.

I'm assuming the forum has been moved onto a new platform now.
If it has, is the amount of advertising taking over every page you try to read got an option that can be turned down a bit.
It's like Crash.net now where you can barely make out the forum for adverts top, bottom and scrolling all over.

Some users will be ruining a browser (or extension) that removes all adverts from this forum and all other websites.
I don't know whether this forum depends on ad income for it's operation.

Really, I run Chrome on a S23. Perhaps I need to tweak the settings, I'll have a look.

I use safari on iPhone and the ads are annoying and quite prevalent.

I use duckduckgo browser on phone and don't see any adverts on this site (I was even suprised by the thread).

At home my network runs through Pi Hole on an old raspberry pi - far fewer adverts on any device / app on my wifi

I don't block adverts on free to use informational sites as a way of supporting the running costs. Having had plenty of sites with type of revenue too.

However, AdSense is quite intrusive.

If I may be as bold as to make a suggestion. I would recommend applying to Ezoic to mange ads on this forum. You could 10x the income with a fraction of the ads currently in place.

Highly recommend looking into it. You'll also have more control of placement and analysis that is available with AdSense.

Since the issues on here a few weeks ago there is lot more adverts. I was a Ford forum last night that uses the same system as this one and no adds at all.

I'm about to start a new thread concerning the forum upgrade, but to answer this specific question, yes, some people are seeing more adverts at present, though it should not be long (oh, how I worry at those words...) before things improve significantly.
