A happy new owner

Evening all,
I’ve been taking in a lot of information from this forum over the last couple of weeks since I bought my first F Type and I’m looking forward to asking loads of questions and maybe contributing a little. I picked up a V6s British design edition from matford jaguar in Essex. I mention the dealer because I live 300 miles from the dealership and Tim Hart in sales was a big help throughout the buying process. Anyway, I still can’t quite believe I own an f type and find myself looking out the window quite often when I’m working from home. It puts a smile on my face every time :D

She’s only got 8000 miles on the clock and comes with a full service history. As you’d expect she’s in great condition and the only minor gripe is the swirls in the paintwork. As she’s a keeper I’m investing in a minor correction followed by gtechniq crystal serum ultra, exo 4, wheels protected, interior done etc.

I’m really excited to see what she’ll look like after the works done and I’ll definitely post photos. In the meantime, here she is after I took her to church the other day :D

Cheers
Graham

I still do that after two and a half years!

Welcome to the club .....

Thanks lads,

I’m really looking forward to getting out on some trips and working out how to drive her properly. I’m coming from a Mazda mx5 - which I’ve kept - and clearly I’ll need to adopt my driving style, particularly how I use my right foot 😆

I’ll be happy too when I can get my F-type out of storage on the 12th and drive somewhere other than the supermarket!3FA991A6-877C-40C4-9504-2D40133760C0.jpeg

That blue looks stunning.

If you intend to keep the car, I would suggest PPF to protect the paintwork. Serums and coatings do diddly, and these cars are gravel magnets!

Welcome and enjoy your car, best colour too although I might be a little bit biased! 😬

Hello and welcome

Lovely colour same as mine .... :D

I can’t wait for mine. After the delay that was new active exhaust, new windscreen, today was looking like delivery day, until a sensor fault came up on the rear camera which is now being replaced tomorrow. Guy Salmon Bristol has at least been pretty good replacing these issues rather than fobbing me off with a sensor reset (and so they should) plus a decent gesture of £150 for a family experience when things reopen. Fingers crossed I get it tomorrow!

After nearly nine months of research into F types I finally took the plunge and bought my first ever Jaguar around 1 month ago.
Some of the internals are similar to the evoque as can be expected but the car is absolutely fantastic in my opinion, I fully understand the grin factor as experienced by other owners and it goes like stink with a beautiful exhaust noise that is so addictive, so much so that my right foot is attached to my ear without full knowledge of the speed achieved!
I’ll try and attach a picture, but this is my first post.F2CD8293-E3C6-487E-9DD6-1E83A7C0E5CC.jpeg

Welcome to the club! I see you got a V8 registration, even if the 8 is on its side.
