Nice. Do like that firesand, am I right in thinking the convertibles are rated at 495 and the coupe 550bhp?would imagine a simple map would unlock the rest unless of course you’re a lunatic and want more power and opt for the supercharger pulley and map from paramount 🫣

I think as it’s the V8 “S” and not the “R” it’s 495 and not the 550. Think that was the same if it were a convertible or a coupe? Probably wrong though, maybe someone on here can clarify that Rjbaker!? 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think they never did a v8 s in a coupe if memory serves me correctly, either way or old enough that the exhaust still makes that lovely racket so it’s a winner in my eyes 😂 unusual that the door pulls are black?is that part of the black pack for that era/version?quite like it to be fair!
 
I think the convertible was the first model to be released, when the coupe was available the power was upped to 550PS.
 
Mine is a prototype apparently, so definitely has the loudness! ☺️😎

The door pulls are painted anyway Rjbaker, but not sure if that happened from factory or not though?
I haven’t seen another with the same during my search in buying one. (Only a month into ownership!)

So the convertible was released first, followed by the coupe? Didn’t realise that! Wonder if the small extra HP increase was just an ECU flash then? I’m guessing everything else under the hood is the same!

Yeah, Jaguar was unusual in that the F-Type was initially designed as a convertible, rather than a coupe with the top cut off and extra stiffness applied. A lot of early testers commented on how stiff the convertible was, so imagine how much extra stiffness the coupe has! "It's good to be bad."
