Hi all,

Those with older F-Types can I ask if this is in the right ball park?

10 year service, as per OSH
Renew front accessory drive belt and renew supercharger drive belt - not done at 9 year so covering it off now.
Replace brake fluid

Got £2,054 from main dealer and £1800 from an Indipendant. I presume the 10er is a biggy, then it’s back to the start again from year 11 💰. I was expecting the Indie to be a bit cheaper too, for some reason.

Cheers.

Sounds a little high based on my calcs. below looking over the invoices:

9 year was £907 but included a new water pump, coolant, etc. Minor weep so not worth leaving for £252. So actual service (inc belts, etc.) £665
10 year was £804
Added together as you have merged part of 9 into 10 would be £1,469 but as this is 2 services it includes both the 9 & 10 oil and filter changes. If I backed this out I'd have paid around £1,200

11 year is similar to the year 1 and just done at £302 inc brake fluid change.

Hope this helps

Thanks, CJ.

I’ll try and get another quote or two and compare, unless prices have really gone up recently 🤔.

Just booked mine in for the nine year service with a local Jaguar independent. Prices quoted are more in line with CJ10jeeper's estimates, so well worthwhile you checking elsewhere before committing.

The biggest difference should be in the labour rates - my Indie reckons if he could charge main dealer rates he'd only work one day a week!

It might be worth checking the cost using the following link:

https://www.jaguar.co.uk/ownership/servicing/book-a-service-or-mot-online.html#book-a-service-tool

I used it to book a service with my local Jaguar dealer and it gave me a cheaper price than I was quoted by going direct.

Worth a go.

this is the 9 year service

My V6S is coming up for its 10 service soon so I've been getting some quotes.
Main dealer quote was around £1300.
Indie quotes £1000 - £1200.
I was led to believe the gearbox oil and filter change is part of the 10 year service as well as spark plugs.

Update: Received a price for a 10 year service from an Indie for £1450, which includes replacing the supercharger belt (missed off 9-year).

Best so far.

My 2018 MY SVR is due it's 9 year service. Can anyone recommend a good jaguar independent in the Staffordshire/Lichfield area of the country. I am (past due) - I've only done 11,000 miles so not over concerned being a few months late but I do broadly keep to the schedule even though the car only does around 1200-1500 miles a year

I'm not sure what others do, but I just used Google/Google Maps to find indie Jaguar dealers/specialists, check their reviews and then drop them an email to query a price for what I am after.

How does a 2017 / MY18 car get to a 9 year service in 2024? Can’t imagine it’s over 100k mileage., so should be a 7 year service
