Call me sad but quite pleased with the results using light wire wool and Autosol

Has anyone got any good advise for what type of polish to use on the exhaust tips on a SVR.I used Mer and a light wire wool with Autosol on my previous XKR which worked well.I am not sure if this is the right combination for the SVR exhaust which is mostly a matt finish?
