I am regularly getting a warning saying that my boot lid is open when it is clearly firmly shut. I suspect a sensor fault somewhere but I don't know where to start looking. Any advise appreciated.

Hi My driver side door handle doesn’t always retract fully when I use the key fob to lock the car. I may have damaged it when trying to open the door when frozen. As far as I can tell it just needs some lubrication to free it up. Any suggestions what I should use?
