Panel gap bonnet front to bumper top

I've had a repair, new bumper nicely done, but the gap between the front of the bonnet and the corresponding edge of the bumper top is 6mm and looks a bit large. Larger than it used to be. When I mentioned it, the body shop said they'd adjust it next week, (but they obviously thought it was OK)...

    DAB+ ?

I've read that some radio stations will stop transmitting on DAB and then only transmit DAB+. I'm curious which our car radios are. Can anyone advise? Or I suppose I can wait until next year and see if some stations are found or not. It doesn't affect me much as I usually use an Ipod but I feel...

    Powered tailgate squeaking

As the tailgate opens, one of the struts has started to squeak. (No rodents involved.) I'm guessing a spray of lubricant into it is required? Perhaps a silicon spray? Or are they better left dry as I have no idea what's inside them?

    Rubbing noise from rear

I've noticed recently a fairly faint rubbing noise that appears to be left rear. Rub rub rub at maybe three times the speed of wheel rotation is my guess. Only noticeable on quiet tarmac around 30-40 mph. It seems worse when cold, and seems worse on right hand bends. I expect it'll be hard to...

    Exhaust tip rectification

My R exhaust tips were polished to death by the first owner and a few places are showing a pale gold coloured plating underneath the chrome. Now the tips are looking tired but I daren't polish them much. I think these standard tips are welded on? Is there a good fix for this? Replacements or...

    Blank areas on forum pages

I keep seeing large blank areas in posts on this forum that I have to scroll past. Is it just my setup or is it common? Anything I can do to fix it, it's only a minor niggle? Android tablet.

    Bubble in PPF

After three years of trouble free PPF on the front and bonnet I managed to get a bubble of water under the PPF through an unseen stone chip right on top of the bonnet. What's the best technique for teasing it out back to flat? I can live with the little chip if I can get out what's underneath...

    Headlamp washer jet sticks out

Hi, I've found recently that one of my headlamp washer jets stays out after use. I carefully tried pushing it back in, it did that OK. Can anyone advise if it's an easy fix; is there a spring return broken or something? I'm not sure how it works, I can only guess. Or maybe a dealer repair under...

Boot panel removal - help please

I've some noise deadening sheets left over from my speaker and door panel upgrade. I thought I'd have a go to stick some on the internal wheel arches and rear quarter panels. I don't know how feasible this will be, but I'm a bit stuck getting the side panels off. Other than unscrewing the...

    Wheels, powder coat or paint?

My painted gyrodyne wheels are starting to look a little bit jaded and I will get them refurbished. Some minor flaking paint and some tiny stone chip touch-ups that can be seen if you look carefully. Although they started life diamond cut, when I bought the car they were very curbed, so the...

    Strange unlocking

Today I pressed the unlock button on the fob, the door handles popped out, then after maybe 2 seconds went back in. Did this a couple of times. Next time I quickly opened the door and started the car. Got the two beeps you get when you lock the door. These two beeps repeated a few times until I...

    Dynamat and tyre noise

I'm tempted to get an ICE company to do a full Dynamat job on my coupe. Total quoted is around £1,600 which seems expensive but maybe need to spend this for a proper job. I wonder if anyone else has had this, and to what effect. I aim to reduce road noise and increase music quality, maybe some...

    Exhaust tips

Are the quad tips on the R stainless or chrome plated? I want to clean them up but wary of ruining them. I suppose they are not removable? Also are there any wonder chemicals to use on these, or is it best to use Solvol with a Mother's cone polishing mop? All suggestions welcome lol.
